MCX commodity contracts (gold, silver, crude oil, natural gas, base metals, agri) are added to the Kite marketwatch like any other instrument, but require the commodity segment to be active on the Zerodha account.

| Evening | 17:00 to 23:30 | Gold, silver, energy, base metals (international reference window) |
Agri contracts trade only in the morning session.
Holiday and DST alignment
MCX adjusts session end-time slightly when Daylight Saving Time changes affect international references (NYMEX, COMEX). Check MCX holidays and timings before relying on a specific evening cutoff.
Margin and SPAN
MCX margin requirements are calculated by SPAN + exposure margin, similar to NSE F&O. Notional contract values for some commodity contracts (gold, silver) are large; ensure adequate funds before trading.
