Quirks of the substring search
- No fuzzy match.
relliancewill return no hits; the search does not auto-correct misspellings. - Symbol takes priority. Typing
INFYreturns Infosys before any branded variant. - Group abbreviations. Typing
M&Mfinds Mahindra & Mahindra; the ampersand is honoured. - Demerger remnants. After a demerger, the resulting entities each have their own symbol; old symbols may still appear but stop trading.
Disambiguation tip
When two entities share a brand prefix (e.g., RELIANCE parent and RELIANCEPP subsidiary), check the NSE corporate information
page for the listed entity before adding. The substring search will not tell you which is the parent.
