How to follow PPFAS on X (Twitter) and LinkedIn

From WebNotes, a public knowledge base. Last updated . Reading time ~5 min. Level: Beginner.

This guide covers following the official PPFAS Mutual Fund social media accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn. PPFAS maintains an active social media presence, with @PPFAS on X being the most active surface. Content includes scheme announcements, factsheet snippets, fund manager quotes, Annual Unitholders’ Meet promotion, and regulatory-event responses. Following the accounts is the fastest way to receive real-time updates from the AMC.

Step-by-step procedure

Step 1: Open X (formerly Twitter) at x.com

Visit x.com in a browser or open the X app on mobile. Log in to an existing account or create a new one.

Step 2: Search for @PPFAS or PPFAS Mutual Fund

In the search bar:

  • Search @PPFAS for the direct handle match.
  • Search PPFAS Mutual Fund for the user-friendly name match.
  • Both queries should surface the official PPFAS account.

Verify the official account:

  • Handle: @PPFAS.
  • Verification badge: X’s verification tick.
  • Profile bio: Mentions PPFAS Mutual Fund officially.
  • Profile photo: PPFAS-branded logo or image.
  • Linked website: amc.ppfas.com.
  • Follower count: Reasonably high (typically tens of thousands or more for an Indian AMC).

Avoid look-alike accounts with similar names but no verification.

Step 3: Follow the @PPFAS account

Tap Follow. The PPFAS account’s posts now appear in the X feed.

Optionally, tap the bell icon to enable notifications:

  • All notifications: Every post triggers a notification.
  • Highlight notifications: Only highlighted posts.

For balanced engagement, leave notifications off and rely on the feed; check the @PPFAS profile directly for major announcements.

Step 4: Visit LinkedIn and search for PPFAS Mutual Fund

Open linkedin.com in a browser or use the LinkedIn app. Search for PPFAS Mutual Fund in the search bar.

The LinkedIn company page should display:

  • Official PPFAS-branded profile.
  • Verification or follower-count indicators.
  • Linked website to amc.ppfas.com.

Step 5: Follow the LinkedIn page

Click Follow on the company page. LinkedIn-platform posts from PPFAS will appear in the LinkedIn feed.

LinkedIn cadence is typically less frequent than X but more substantial (each post is longer, sometimes with embedded documents or articles).

Step 6: Optionally follow individual PPFAS team members

Several PPFAS team members maintain personal social presence:

  • Rajeev Thakkar (CIO): Active on X periodically; personal posts on investing philosophy and market views. Follow if interested in his individual perspective.
  • Neil Parag Parikh (Chairman/CEO): Less frequent personal posting; LinkedIn is more typical for his content.
  • Raunak Onkar (Head of Research): Occasional personal posts; engagement with research-and-philosophy topics.

Following individual team members provides their personal views, which may differ in tone from the official AMC account.

Step 7: Set personal engagement guidelines

Social-media engagement on PPFAS posts is welcomed for:

  • General queries about PPFAS philosophy or scheme details.
  • Feedback on content or operations.
  • Sharing PPFAS content with attribution.
  • Constructive discussion in replies.

Avoid:

  • Personal investment advice solicitation: Use the SelfInvest portal or investor desk.
  • Off-topic promotion of other AMCs or content.
  • Negative or speculative comments without substance.
  • Sharing personal investor information publicly (folio numbers, PAN, etc.).

Step 8: Cross-reference social content with factsheet and YouTube

Major social-media announcements are typically also covered in:

  • The monthly factsheet (next-month publication).
  • The PPFAS YouTube channel (often with accompanying video).
  • The amc.ppfas.com newsroom or press releases.

Social media provides real-time alerts; other channels provide deeper context. Use both in combination.
