Step-by-step procedure

Six steps per the procedure infobox. The notes below cover what to verify.

What to check

  • Scrip name and quantity: Match what you intended to pledge.
  • Haircut %: Should match the Zerodha haircut list for that scrip.
  • Collateral value: (Market value of pledged shares) x (1 - haircut).
  • Status: “Pledged” (active) vs “Pending un-pledge” (mid-unpledge).

Reconciliation

The total collateral value from Console should match the collateral component in Kite funds :

Margin available = Free cash + Collateral value.

If they don’t match:

  • Wait for the next depository sync.
  • Refresh both Kite and Console.
  • If still mismatched after a day, contact support.
