Summary

WebNotes is a static knowledge base. The site does not require user accounts, does not request personal data, does not run forms or surveys, and does not display advertising. Server logs maintained by the host (Hostinger) record standard request metadata.

Data the site collects directly

WebNotes does not collect any personal information directly from readers. The site does not:

  • Require accounts, sign-ups or sign-ins.
  • Run contact forms, newsletter forms, comment forms or surveys.
  • Use cookies for user identification, tracking, advertising, or session management.
  • Run client-side trackers or analytics scripts that profile individual users.
  • Embed third-party widgets that fetch user data (no social-media share buttons that load third-party scripts, no embedded videos that load third-party trackers, no chat widgets).
  • Display advertising.

Data the host records automatically

The webnotes.in domain is served from Hostinger shared hosting infrastructure. Like most web hosts, Hostinger maintains server logs that record standard HTTP request metadata, which may include:

  • The requesting IP address.
  • The User-Agent string sent by the browser.
  • The URL requested and the timestamp of the request.
  • The HTTP referrer, if present.

These logs are retained by Hostinger under its own privacy and retention policy. WebNotes does not access, process, or share these logs.

Cookies

The site does not set cookies. No cookie consent banner is displayed because there is nothing to consent to.

Third-party resources

All page resources (CSS, JavaScript, fonts, images) are served from the v2.webnotes.in origin. The site does not load:

  • Web fonts from Google Fonts or other third-party font services.
  • JavaScript or CSS from third-party CDNs.
  • Tracking pixels from advertising networks.

If the site is later updated to include analytics (for example, a privacy-preserving analytics service such as Plausible or self-hosted analytics), this policy will be updated and a clear disclosure added.

Search functionality

If on-site search is enabled in a future release, the search index is built statically at deployment time and served from the same v2.webnotes.in origin. Search queries are processed in the reader’s browser; no query data is transmitted to any server.

Linked websites

Articles on webnotes.in link to external websites (regulators, exchanges, depositories, broker support portals, news sources). When a reader follows such a link, the destination website operates under its own privacy policy, over which WebNotes has no control.

Children’s privacy

The site is not directed at children under the age of 13. No data is knowingly collected from minors.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated when the site’s data-handling posture changes, with the revision date reflected in the page metadata above.
