Madhusudan Kela is a veteran Indian equity investor and former Chief Investment Officer of Reliance Capital Asset Management, the asset management subsidiary of Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group that was subsequently restructured and rebranded as Nippon India Mutual Fund following Nippon Life Insurance of Japan’s acquisition of a controlling stake. Kela is regarded as one of the most accomplished mid-cap and small-cap equity investors in India’s mutual fund history, with a career at Reliance Capital AMC spanning more than a decade and a half during which he oversaw some of the best-performing equity schemes of their era.
