Milind Barve served as the Managing Director of HDFC Asset Management Company (HDFC AMC) for many years, leading the firm through its substantial growth phase to become one of India’s three largest AMCs by AUM. His leadership tenure included the highly successful HDFC AMC IPO (2018) .
Career
Milind Barve was MD of HDFC AMC for over 20 years, overseeing the firm’s growth from a smaller AMC to industry leadership. His tenure coincided with the build-out of HDFC AMC’s flagship schemes under Prashant Jain and others.
Industry contribution
Long-tenured industry leader who steered HDFC AMC through scheme launches, regulatory changes, and the 2018 IPO. The IPO was one of the most successful in Indian asset management history.
